Professor .John K. Schuller visit

On 16/2/2012, Professor .John K. Schuller , University of Florida, Department of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering, has visited the U of K ground station and he was very excited about the project since there is a similar project in his university.

MASAT-1 received successfully
On Monday, 13/2/2012, MASAT-1  CW beacon and packet was successfully heard over Africa at  University of Khartoum ground station team.
The received signal was recorded as an audio file.
Right now the team is trying to decode the received packet using MASAT-1 decoder software.

Watching ESA Vega launch

On Monday, 13/2/2012, University of Khartoum Ground station is watching ESA Vega launch online. We are ready for tracking and receiving the cubesats telemetry.

Congratulations ESA for the nice VEGA launch.

Ground Station installation

The cubesat team had received the hardware of the ground station and started installing the tower, antennas, feed lines and data cables. They had also prepared the radio room.

KN-Sat1 Ground Station is ready to go

The Cubesat team at University of Khartoum has finished installing the ground station equipments . It is  ready for tracking and monitoring cubesats and some satellites.

KN-Sat1 team members are willing to share knowledge and experience with any institute or university involving in cubesat programm inside and/or outside Sudan.

cubesat team has participated in 2nd IAA Conference on University Satellites Missions and Cubesat Winter Workshop,It was been held in Rome (Italy), from the 3rd to the 9th of February 2013 , under the main sponsorship of IAA, GAUSS Srl,ESA, ASI, Italian Air Force, Sapienza University of Roma, Morehead State University (Kentucky), Von Karman Institute, FILAS, BCC Roma.
